1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, downloading the 11PlusExam.ai app, or using our website at 11plusexam.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
These terms form a binding agreement between you (the "parent" or "user") and us, the operator of 11PlusExam.ai.
2. What the Service is
11PlusExam.ai provides interactive revision content for the UK 11+ entrance exams — questions, lessons, timed mock tests, a parent progress dashboard, and associated mini-games. Content is aligned to the UK National Curriculum and common 11+ exam formats, but we do not guarantee coverage of any specific school's entrance paper.
3. Who can use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old to register a parent account.
- You must be a parent, legal guardian, or authorised tutor of the child profiles you create.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- The Service is intended for use from the United Kingdom. We make no claim that content is suitable or lawful elsewhere.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your email address, password, and child-profile PIN confidential.
- You are responsible for any activity that happens under your account — including your child's activity via a PIN-locked profile.
- Notify us at support@11plusexam.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or poses a security risk.
5. Children & parental responsibility
The Service is designed for children aged approximately 9 to 11, but only through a parent-created account. Children do not register independently and do not interact with other users.
As a parent, you confirm that:
- You have legal authority to act on behalf of each child profile you create.
- You supervise how your child uses the Service and take responsibility for any content they submit (e.g. file uploads or custom-homework notes).
- You understand that the Service is a supplementary revision tool, not a substitute for schooling, tuition, or pastoral care.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Service's source code, question bank, or database.
- Scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute our content.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or load-testing tools against our API without written permission.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringing, malicious, or inappropriate for a family-focused service.
- Attempt to access another family's account, data, or child profile.
- Probe, scan, or exploit security vulnerabilities — if you discover a vulnerability, please responsibly disclose it to support@11plusexam.ai.
- Resell access to the Service or share your login with third parties.
7. Content & intellectual property
Our content
All questions, lessons, worked examples, illustrations, icons, app code, and website content are owned by 11PlusExam.ai or licensed to us. You receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes while your account is active.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload (e.g. worksheet PDFs, child avatar images, custom homework notes). By uploading content you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and display it strictly for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim rights beyond that, and we delete uploaded content when you delete it or close your account.
8. AI-generated content
The "Explain answer" and "Status briefing" features use a third- party AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to generate explanations and summaries from your child's activity data.
- AI output is provided "as-is" and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
- Do not rely on AI-generated text for exam preparation without reviewing it yourself.
- We do not send personally identifiable information to the AI provider — only anonymised activity summaries.
9. Subscriptions & payments
Every new child gets a 7-day free trial with full access to every feature. No card is required for the trial. At the end of the trial the child loses access unless you start a paid subscription for them.
Paid subscriptions are billed per child on either a monthly or annual cycle, at the prices shown on the in-app paywall at the time of purchase. New customers may be offered a one-time discount on their first billing period. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current standard price until cancelled.
You can cancel any subscription at any time from Parent Settings. On cancellation, access continues until the end of the current billing period; no further charges are made. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time within a paid period.
Web purchases are processed by our payment partner Stripe; Android purchases are processed by Google Play. If you purchase through Google Play, Google's own billing and refund terms also apply, and cancellations on Android must be managed via your Google Play subscription page. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before any change to standard pricing that affects you, and you'll be able to cancel before the new price takes effect.
10. Apple App Store and iOS subscriptions
This section applies to your use of the 11PlusExam.ai iOS app downloaded from Apple's App Store. Where any other section of these terms conflicts with this section in relation to the iOS app, this section prevails.
App Store distribution
The iOS app is licensed to you, not sold. Your licence is non-transferable and limited to use of the iOS app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Apple is not a party to these terms. These terms are concluded solely between you and 11PlusExam.ai. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the iOS app and is not responsible for addressing any claims you have relating to the iOS app or your possession or use of it.
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Product warranty. In the event of any failure of the iOS app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the iOS app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the iOS app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility.
- Claims handling. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the iOS app or your possession or use of it — including product liability claims, claims that the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. In the event of any third- party claim that the iOS app or your possession and use of the iOS app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- Export compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
iOS auto-renewing subscriptions
Subscriptions purchased through Apple's App Store are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's standard terms in addition to these. The following applies to iOS subscriptions:
- Auto-renewal. Each subscription renews automatically at the end of its billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The renewal charge is processed by Apple against the payment method associated with your Apple ID.
- Length and price. Available subscription lengths and prices are shown on the in-app paywall before purchase. Current standard pricing is £4.99 per month or £55 per year per child, subject to change with at least 30 days' notice.
- Managing your subscription. You can view, change, or cancel an iOS subscription at any time in iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app under your account profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access continues until then.
- Refunds. Refund requests for iOS purchases are processed by Apple, not by 11PlusExam.ai. Contact Apple Support at reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund.
11. Termination
- You can delete your account at any time via Parent Settings → Delete account. All associated data is removed (see Privacy Policy § 6).
- We can suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, misuse the Service, or engage in fraud. Where reasonable we'll warn you first and give you a chance to remedy.
- Sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
- 11PlusExam.ai is not affiliated with any school, examining body, CEM, GL, ISEB, or any specific local authority admissions process.
- Questions are written or curated to approximate the shared content of UK 11+ papers, but the real exam your child takes may differ.
- We may change, withdraw, or temporarily suspend features for maintenance, legal compliance, or platform updates.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 11PlusExam.ai, its operators and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, educational outcomes, or reputation arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the Service — subject to your non-waivable rights as a consumer.
15. Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms occasionally. For material changes we'll give you at least 14 days' notice by email before they take effect. Minor edits (typos, clarifications) may be made without notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect counts as acceptance of the updated terms.
