Mock exam terms and conditions
Last updated 8 August 2026
These terms apply when you book a place for your child at an 11PlusExam.ai
mock examination, whether it is held online or at a venue. By ticking the
declaration box on the booking form you confirm that you have read and
accept them, together with our
safeguarding and child protection policy.
1. Booking a place
- Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- If an event is full, your booking will be placed on a waiting
list. We will email you if a place becomes available.
- One booking covers one child. Please make a separate booking for each
child attending.
- Mock exams are currently offered free of charge. We may
introduce a fee for future events; if so, the price will be shown clearly
before you confirm a booking, and no charge will ever be applied to a
booking made while the event was advertised as free.
2. Cancelling
- You may cancel at any time using the link in your confirmation email.
- Please do cancel if you can no longer attend, so we can offer the place
to another family. Places are limited and unused seats are wasted.
- We may cancel or reschedule an event — for example because of venue
problems, low bookings or circumstances beyond our control. If we do, we
will email you as early as we can.
3. On the day
- For venue events, please arrive by the time stated in your confirmation
email so we can sign your child in and start on time.
- Children arriving after the paper has started may not be able to sit it,
as it would disturb those already working.
- Parents are welcome to leave during the examination. We recommend
staying close to the venue so you can return promptly if your child needs
assistance or has to leave early.
- We are not responsible for supervising children outside the
examination itself, including before and after the session.
- Mobile phones and smart watches must be switched off during the paper.
4. Safeguarding
- We have a safeguarding and child
protection policy for our mock examinations. Please read it
before booking — accepting these terms includes accepting that policy.
- Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Bhumika Dalvi.
Any safeguarding concern can be raised at the venue by asking a member of
staff for the DSL, or by email to
admin@11plusexam.ai.
- Adults who supervise children at our venue events have appropriate DBS
checks, and follow a staff code of conduct.
- We follow the venue's own safeguarding, fire, evacuation and first-aid
procedures alongside our own.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 999 — do not
wait to contact us first.
5. Contacting you on the day
- You must give us a mobile number you will answer for
the whole session. If your child is unwell, distressed or has to leave
early, this is how we reach you — it is the reason the field is
required.
- Please tell us before the event if that number changes.
- If we cannot reach you and your child needs to leave the examination, we
will keep them supervised at the venue until you arrive.
6. Collecting your child
- Please arrive to collect your child promptly at the finish
time stated in your confirmation email.
- Tell us in advance if someone other than you will be collecting them,
and who that will be. We will not release a child to an adult we have not
been told about.
- Our supervision ends once the session finishes. If a child has not been
collected we will stay with them and try to contact you, but we ask that
you make collection arrangements you can rely on.
- We do not currently charge for late collection. If persistent lateness
makes that necessary we will say so clearly before any future event, never
retrospectively.
7. Behaviour
- Children are expected to follow the invigilator's instructions and to
work quietly so that others are not disturbed.
- We may ask a child to leave the examination if their behaviour prevents
others from working, or if it puts anyone's safety at risk. We will contact
you immediately if that happens.
- We may decline a booking, or cancel one already made, where there has
been serious or repeated disruption at a previous event. We will tell you
the reason.
- The same expectations apply to adults at the venue.
8. Online sittings
- Online mocks are sat in the 11PlusExam.ai app. You will need a device
with a working screen and keyboard or touchscreen, and a reliable internet
connection.
- Please sign in and check the app works before the start
time. We cannot troubleshoot individual devices once a paper has begun.
- If your own equipment or connection fails during a paper we will do what
we reasonably can, but we cannot guarantee that lost time can be recovered
or that the attempt can be restarted.
- The paper should be your child's own unaided work. Results from a sitting
we have good reason to believe was not completed independently may be
withheld.
9. What the mock is and is not
- This is a generic 11+ mock examination. It is not
tailored to the entrance exam of any specific grammar or independent
school, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced in
partnership with any school or examination board.
- Results are intended to help identify strengths and areas for further
practice. They are not a prediction of performance in a
real entrance examination and carry no weight with any school.
10. Accessibility and special assistance
Please tell us on the booking form if your child needs any assistance on the
day. We will do what we reasonably can at the venue, but we cannot guarantee
that every arrangement (for example extra time or a separate room) will be
available, and we will contact you before the event if we cannot meet a
request.
11. Exam papers and materials
- The question papers, answer sheets and marking reports are our
copyright.
- You are welcome to keep your child's report and to use the paper at home
for their own revision.
- Please do not photograph, copy, publish or share the questions — with
other families, in groups, or online. Papers are reused at later events,
and a circulated paper makes the mock worthless for the children sitting
it next.
- Children may not bring recording devices into the examination.
12. Photography
We do not photograph or film children at mock examinations. If this ever
changes for a particular event we will ask for your permission in advance,
in writing, and a refusal will never affect your child's place.
13. Your information
We collect your name, email address and optionally your phone number, plus
your child's name, year group and school. We use these only to:
- manage your booking and admit your child on the day;
- email you the confirmation, a reminder and any changes;
- send you your child's results after the event.
- Any accessibility information you give us is used only
to make arrangements for the day, is seen only by the organisers, and is
deleted after the event.
- We will not use your details for marketing unless you tick the optional
marketing box, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- We do not sell or share your details with third parties.
- You can ask us to delete your booking data at any time by emailing
support@11plusexam.ai.
Our full privacy policy explains your rights
in more detail.
14. Availability of our website and app
We aim to keep the booking pages and the app available, but we do not
guarantee uninterrupted access. Occasionally we need to take things offline
for maintenance, and outages sometimes happen for reasons outside our
control. Where an outage prevents an online mock from going ahead, we will
offer an alternative sitting.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of
England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing here affects
your statutory rights as a consumer.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the
one published when you booked, and the date at the top of this page tells
you when it last changed.
